2023 Subscriptions AlanT Posted January 6, 2017 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted January 6, 2017 Looking at a sedately paced 40-ish miler to recover from Saturday's track fun. 5 decent climbs in about 40 miles with around 4000 feet of up. Langbank Station climb, Clune, Johns Hill, Elliston climb and Dalek hill. Bonus climb for the Kilbarchan to Bridge of Weir road. No cafe stops planned, but could slip one in at BOW. Bale out option at Lochwinnoch. Leaving Crosslea around 10. Post up if interested. Roberto and DavidC

2023 Subscriptions AlanT Posted January 8, 2017 Author 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted January 8, 2017 I made that 46 miles and 4016 feet of climbing. Robert and I set out from Crosslee, picked up Colin at Langbank and tackled the first of the climbs, some of us quicker than others. I took on the Laterne Rouge role to let the youngsters gallop on ahead. Didn't have a lot of choice there as my legs were still tired from yesterday. Eventually got dropped just at Johns Hill, regrouped, briefly at the Howwood turn, then solo' round the rest of the route. Saw the 30 milers heading toward Bowfield as I was heading toward Lochlibo Road. Conditions were ok, a bit damp and misty on the top of the hills, but not really cold. Good day to be out.
