AllanC
Hi, I'm thinking of purchasing a turbo trainer for use over the winter. I don't have a garage or big shed to train in so it would either be in my livingroom or spare room. I live alone so not concerned about the noise in my own house but I do live in a semi-detached house so I am worried about the noise for the next door neighbour. I'm looking at this Tacx deal on Wiggle http://www.wiggle.co.uk/tacx-satori-pro-trainer-training-mat-dvd/ Does anyone have any experience of this turbo trainer that could advise on the noise level? Thanks Allan

Guest George
Alan, you can get the tacx flow on eBay. It has power on it as well as hr, speed, cadence etc. I don't find it all that noisy although that's maybe because my wheezing is so loud

AllanM
Allan I bought this turbo a few weeks ago http://www.wiggle.co...yer-vr-trainer/ Its early days but so far so good. It connects to a laptop to give a really full display of distance, speed, cadence, gradient, power and heart rate in both numbers and graphs. It works with an analogue (as oppossed to ANT) heart monitor, around £15 from Decathlon. You can save your routes and workouts, hopefully to show improvements over time! It comes loaded with various routes and films to follow and a one year multi player license which may or not be useful. So far all I've done is ride against the clock varying the resistance to get used to the machine. Time will tell which features are useful and which are gimmicks. Cheers Allan AllanC

AllanM
How is it for noise Allan? When you're going flat out there is a definite rumble but overall not too bad. I imagine as long as you didn't have it in a room adjoining your neighbour's wall you'd be fine.
