2023 Subscriptions AlanT Posted July 26, 2013 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted July 26, 2013 How's about clubhouse, Bishopton, West Ferry, Port Glasgow, Kilmacolm, Lochwinnoch and back to Johnstone. Yes, that does include Clunie and Johnshill, but we can stop at Castle Semple for tea, coffee, oxygen or whatever. I reckon that's about 35 miles or so. Richie Cross
Cheers Al. Or....from Port Glasgow along to Greenock and go the reverse route into Largs from last week. Means we would have...drum roll....the Haylie Brae back into Kilbirnie but it's more miles and the Bagel Basket
Richie Cross
Don't know why that came up all small?
2023 Subscriptions AlanT Posted July 26, 2013 Author 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted July 26, 2013 I think with the potential for a couple of newbies coming along, the shorter run is less likely to intimidate. One thing I forgot to mention though, 09:00 kickoff at the clubhouse. Another day for the haylie.
Richie Cross
No worries. Myself and a mate, Darren, will be along.
Members Iain67
Hi Alan I am one of the newbies, living in Erskine. I'll aim to be in Johnston for 09.00 but what time will you be in Bishopton in case I am running late due to wedding Sat night?
2023 Subscriptions AlanT Posted July 27, 2013 Author 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted July 27, 2013 Good question. Maybe about 20-25 past? We won't be hurrying.

Guest john_s
Think I'll cycle in. Forecast says showers so might be worth taking a waterproof.

Members Iain67
Shame for me, seen the weather this AM and decided to give it a miss. Will join one of the runs in a few weeks time, as away for next two weeks.
thomkirk46
Hi Cycled into the clubhouse from Port Glasgow this morning but none was at the clubhouse will try again soon. 2 punctures and a soaking so maybe I should have stayed in bed LOL. 2023 Subscriptions AlanT Posted July 28, 2013 Author 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted July 28, 2013 For those that turned up, thanks. Thomkirk, sorry mate, either we missed you or you missed us. Both of us left the clubhouse at about 9.15 and had quite a pleasant, although moist 38 miler in a shade over 3 hours, which is pretty decent, given that the other guy has never been out with a group. (Can 2 really be called a group?) Hopefully he'll be back next week. I however, will not be out next week as I will be working. thomkirk46
thomkirk46
Alan, Had it not been raining I would have waited longer. I was worried the start time had been pushed to 0930 or later. Cheers Tam
IanM
Any plans for a 30miler this weekend?
2023 Subscriptions AlanT Posted August 2, 2013 Author 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted August 2, 2013 Not from me, I'm working, and if I wasn't, I quite like the look of the intermediates run. If you've got a route in mind, post it up in the usual way.
