Pauline Aitchison
Hi Alan, My partner Dave and I are doing the 65 miles. We did it last year. Very challenging. We are camping. We can catch up if you want?
Alan Fox
Hi Pauline, Sounds good. I'm planning to go under canvas on the Fri night at Broomfield Holiday Park and leave straight after the sportive. I'll PM you nearer the time. Alan Fox
82 mile Ullapool Mor completed in 06:13 (official 06:24 incl. stops.) Hardest challenge ever for me on two wheels. Some serious climbing involved - not least a 25% that nearly had the white flag out. But managed to complete it at a staggering 4mph! Gale force winds and the rain didn't help either. However, best day yet in the saddle, with stunning scenery. Well worth the trip North. Won't be at the Hill Climb Champs as I don't want to be close to a hill on two wheels for a while - day of rest required. Members Richard
That sounds like a hard shift, Alan. (But even with the wind and rain, I still think the ride sounds preferable to camping in the far north of Scotland.)
