Alan Fox Posted September 3, 2012 Author Report Share Posted September 3, 2012 Completed a shortened version of the sportive as a result of severe weather conditions - the Mountain Rescue Team closed the main climb for safety reasons as a result of 80mph winds at the summit! Route was reduced by 25 miles to 63 miles. Completed in 3hrs 23mins. Pleased with this considering the wind and rain! Not to be deterred, I'll be heading up again next year to hopefully complete the whole run with the added benefit of a winter training programme!!??
