2023 Subscriptions iain couttie Posted September 25, 2011 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted September 25, 2011 i did my xc cycle yesterday, i have not been off road for over a year so it came as a bit of a shock! there was 70km of bog hills more hills a 4 km push and carry up one of the hills at the back of ben nevis,super fast decents which just about rattled my eyes out.we had to cross 2 rivers which involved a lot of wading.I had my bike serviced the day before but lost my granny gears from word go and rear brakes half way round.But what a day i reckon that the 70km equates to 100 mls on the road. I got the final placings this morning, i was 135 overall out of 355 and 7th in my age group out of 21. I was glad to just finish, some of those guys are strong going up hills, it looks like i have to push in a few more climbs before the 8th and my 24hr effort. iain Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
