david ridley
I DID THE UK STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COURSE LAST YEAR. THE SAME EXERCISES AS THE UK TRACK TEAM DO USING OLYMPIC WEIGHT LIFTING BASED EXERCISES. IF ANYONE NEEDS ADVICE WHAT TO DO THEN I WILL TRY TO PASS ON SOME ADVICE. SHORT TRACK RACES ARE NOW WON IN THE GYM - NOT THE BIKE I AM AFRAID TO SAY. IF YOUR GUNAN DO, IT DO IT RIGHT. MY MATE NOW DOES THESE EXERCISES AND HAS JUMPED 10/15 PLACES A RACE IN ONE YEAR IN SCOTTISH MOUNTAIN BIKE SERIES AND THAT IS A SO CALLED ENDURANCE EVENT!!!! Mark O
Dave, Likewise, I'd be interested in what you've got to share as I know raw power is something I currently lack and want to work on over the winter, but really don't know where to start. Billy Mac (in case he don't know it) is self or otherwise appointed coaching/training co-ordinator. We are trying to tap into any advice /guidance out there esp from club members. See Billy's winter training thread. Mark
