IC_ID=7980 Been wanting to see this for ages and it was worth the wait. Something very hypnotic about the long, slow build up, which is the calm before the storm. The whole package just comes together to make it seem less of a race and more of an epic event and this is without wet and slippery pave! Highlights are of course the pave, the riders (no gel bar tape (or helmets!) for these boys), the organised chaos of the service and press vehicles but the mechanic hanging onto the roof of the service van looking as if he's just done a shift down the mines is the tops - risk assess that one.
