I'll be at Miller Street with 3 youths (2 Jets, 1 Glasgow Rider) for approx 40 miles, steady pace. Post here if you fancy joining us, or just see you in the morning. 2023 Subscriptions martin Posted September 5, 2010 Author 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted September 5, 2010 Lovely morning for a bike ride. 7 left Miller Street for some Rothesay practice: pothole ridden, coo s*** strewn, climbing or falling single track roads. Greig sat up at Lochwinnoch, which left the young team of Josh and Lewis (Jets), Rhys (Glasgow Riderz), and the not so young team of Jim D, George and me. http://www.bikeroutetoaster.com/Course. ... rse=175320 shows the route. Good pace, with the youngsters leading the gallop on each climb - until George showed them how to climb, and then how to use your elbows to keep the competition at bay . The Barrheid-yins left the group by Greenacres to head their own way home, leaving 4 to contest the habble into Johnstone. Jim D led out and never looked back. Very enjoyable ride, and well done to the youth riders. Josh McLaughlin has to ride the senior race in the club hill climb champs after his performance today (although we'll let him defend his youth title as well ).
