lancelogan
Dilemma time. Decision to be made. What wheels to choose. Have been looking at Shimano's Dura-Ace. The look like very light hoops, has anyone got any experience with them or can anyone recommend a similar spec in a Mavic or Bontrager? 2023 Subscriptions gregbalden Posted July 27, 2009 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted July 27, 2009 Maybe not exactely similar spec, but Mavic Aksuim wheels, are very good price currently (below £100 chain reaction cycles)and from my experiecne a good wheel, smooth, done over 750 miles on mine, and are all still good, no problems. Life Members chung Posted July 28, 2009 Life Members Report Share Posted July 28, 2009 I think big Colin Howard has a pair of Dura Ace on his summer bike.......if so, he might have something to say on them. But from what I've read, they are light and reliable wheels. Cheers Chung

Light carbon pedals and a 9speed casstette (12-27 teeth preferably) are next on my hit list.
