lancelogan
I have a Campag carbon seat post in an aluminium De Rosa and it wont budge, is there any way of freeing it up so i can adjust it or is it ceased up to boogery?
Kenny Christie
This is based on the seat pin being binned afterwards! And it being stuck fast. I would squirt lots of GT-85 or similar at the junction between the seat post and the frame. Give it time to work, then, if you have access to a vice you could remove the saddle, and wheels. Put the bike in the vice seat pin first, clamp it, without bursting the post and rock it side to side copious amounts of GT85/ WD40 and a bit of luck and some patience, should see it come out. I know that its not universally advised but I always use copper- anti seize grease at these contact points regardless of material be it Titanium, carbon or aluminium. I have had a smilar problem to you in the past. Best of luck.

Hertz Van Rental
I can cut it out for you without damaging the frame or sticking anything in a vice, but the seat post will be destroyed.
Davd Jack
Try boiling water on the seat tube. Then knock seat pin down slightly then try removal. Might work, it did for me, so worth a try without destroying anything.
