  1. I think to be fair that we should make decision on Saturday morning.I think a ride in an easterly direction to transmitter hill might be hard going but if we take decent turns it might be okay, tail wind home will be nice. Alternatively we choose a route that allows us to hide a bit. Main thing is getting 60/70 miles. Regarding Davie's Inner Coach..... Important to nurture, be kind, warm and forgiving to your inner coach (even when they're angry with you) without being submissive to them. We need to understand Davie's inner coach and I think letting Davie ride alone with him would not be a good example of team spirit! Andy
  2. Forecast is for strong cold easterly winds on Saturday. Just sayin' Andy
  3. Transmitter Hill Vacinity Run I remember, oh how we laughed :-D
  4. As long as your not route planning Charlie. I recall our last trip to Transmitter hill

    Yay! Eyeballs out! Andy
  6. Aye for Transmitter Hill, switching over to Davie's thread.
  7. Charlie I can give you lift. Will give me opportunity to hand over "winding up Billy" duties. Welcome back! Andy
  8. Yup I've signed up for it. I was referencing an earlier post but thank you Davie :-) TT Sunday. Transmitter Hill Saturday. Andy
  9. I can do a lift also Andy
  10. Cricket I'm doing a poor job with this posting a run malarkey. Ross and I were slavering over the thought of BB coffees and scones after the Don Smith. Apologies Davie and Billy for cutting across club rules and existing proposal for Saturday run. I'm happy to go with the flow. Transmitter hill would be is a great run with a wee cuppa at Galston. I guess in terms of order of priorities, confined events come first. I've signed up for this on Sunday. Not sure of etiquette for circumstances such as this but I guess if TT doesn't go ahead we should then make plans for weekend? Andy
  11. Billy, my sincere apologies. I completely forgot about the restricted gear TT being arranged. Happy to a) scrap " Operation Das Bagelhausen Landing" completely or as per Sir Toole's suggestion switch it to the Saturday morning Andy
  12. Who out for reoccupation of Das Bagelhausen followed by West Kilbride route home? Andy
  13. Speaking to the folk today and the consensus for the best date seems St Paddy's day. That's 17th march for you sassanachs May your blessings outnumber The shamrocks that grow, And may trouble avoid you Wherever you go. Andy

  16. "Wee, sleekit, cow'rin, tim'rous beastie, O, what a panic's in thy breastie! 88 miles and 8,000 feet Thou'll be yearning for yer ain wee street" So following on from some chat in the Audax there seems to be some appetite for a reconnoiter into 'the shire'. This will require transport down to Girvan. It looks pretty horrible too! There's 6 to 8 hours of cycling and 9 climbs so for those planning the landings on Mallorca this year this would be good training. http://ayrshirealps.org/wp/rides I reckon best date would be 7th April giving the summer bikes a great treat after weary winter. After that date you've got WOSCA series on 14th then Jim Daly on 20th. The week before is Easter Sunday and such a long day might stretch some families holiday patience somewhat? Who'd be up for it?

  18. Omnibus 8 looks "nice", maybe a good training run ahead of folk travelling to Mallorca? Andy
  19. Here's some choice rides for the spring / summer if anyone fancies going south of Ayr? http://ayrshirealps.org/wp/rides Andy
  20. Sorry Socks size 42. Andy
