  1. I promised I would update you on my progress. Well.........I won't tell you what time I posted but I will tell you that I came 1st on handicap! Whoop, whoop!!!
  2. Well done to all of you! Wish I could have been there I was in spirit at least. The rest of me was applauding the Sky team across the line - in glorious sunshine!
  3. Hi Guys You asked me to keep you posted on how I was getting on with the TT's. Tommorrow night will be my first TT for a number of weeks due to being out of the saddle with a chest infection. I will let you know how I get on (no laughing when I post my time!) However, I did cycle up Kirkstone Pass from Patterdale the other day, which for me is a major achievement let me tell you! Attempted The Struggle coming back, fell off twice due to coming to a complete standstill and not getting unclipped in time! Met Cav at the Crit in Northumberland and watched Wiggins do his thing at the National Championships! All in all, fab week
  4. You will be getting them I can assure you If I can't bend Jim's ear for advice, you lot will have to do

  8. Hi there Does anyone know if Jim got out for a spin on Bank Holiday Monday or not?
  9. Dear all. I am absolutely devastated to hear the news about Jim. As some of you may know, Jim and I were seeing each other for a while a couple of months ago (I am the girl from Yorkshire who sat in the car with Jim when he drove the lead car in a recent race, we had to stop the race due to a crash?). We continued to remain friends, and the sudden loss of contact from Jim made me realise that something was wrong, and eventually I came across the announcement on Braveheart when trying to find out. If someone could please, please keep me informed, I would really appreciate it. I am as much in the dark about this terrible incident as anyone else. As many of you have said, in the short time I knew Jim, I found him to be the most inspirational person I had ever met, and it is due to Jim that I have now entered my first season of road racing, his constant encouragement and enthusiasm made it possible for me to find the confidence to do so. He never missed texting to ask how my last time trial had gone, and I was chuffed to bits for him when he won his recent race, having been less fit than he would have liked for a few months. I will never, ever, forget him. RIP Jim xxx
