  1. Accred 1 completed. Great buzz! #2 booked for 29th.
  2. I plan on being out. Per Ian's question which way are you going? Tom
  3. Paris Roubaix was lovely and summery with birds and sunshine but still rotten as it was turbo!!
  4. Alan I was game until I went outside!! For once it is worse than it looks/sounds. Roads here are not covered but very slippy. Being a wimp I don't fancy seeing the inside of my other knee! Turbo for me and Paris Roubaix ..... again Tom
  5. I will decide in the morning re weather. If snow then I'll climb onto the turbo. Tom
  6. Perhaps I can say a few words..... The main bunch is just fine as it is; untidy at times, yes but that improves as the year progresses. I thought the run on Sunday was pretty much as posted by Billy. I knew I would struggle after the cafe, but I also know that when I have not been able to train, once over 60 miles, the quickest way I get better is by toughing it out. On Sunday, despite George, Charlie and Colin helping me get back on, I knew I could not hold a wheel and was therefore, in my opinion, hindering the run. We've all been dropped and someone helped us back but this was different. It took a lot of convincing to make the bunch go on and I was happy to make my own way back and happy I got as far as I did. So with that, let's get on with it! See you next Sunday. Tom
  7. ........ only used for Christmas! Get out on your bike, Del Boy Tom
  8. Tough day for me guys! 90 miles on the clock which was at least 35 too much. Managed the last 25 on my own still averaging 17mph which is better than I would have managed not too long ago when feeling good. I knew it was going to be tough getting back on the rails, so quite positive. See you next week. Tom
  9. Finally!!! Accreditation1 on January 22nd :-) Tom
  10. Sounds good but I need to sort out the Easter hols as I could be in France......... which will be nice n warm and sunny! Tom
  11. Alan I am up for this. Fancy going up on the Saturday and stopping in a B&B? i should be out this weekend so can discuss then
  12. I'll start with the lowlights but then considering it was only Jan 8th I've done ok. - seeing the inside of my knee in technicolor glory, worse still thinking all the training and hard work was for nothing!! Best bit; the quick realisation that it wasn't, culminating in the Nove Colli which was something I could only have dreamed of completing two years ago. .......Oh yeah, sprinting past the Skinny One on the Crow Road - well, if you know it will only happen once, make the most of it I say :-) ........And passing Paul MacDonald on the Clune - Ok i have heard the Completely unfounded rumours that he was eating his packed lunch at the time, nor was he giving anyone directions! I was there!! Bring on 2013!! Tom
  13. Going to miss this one. Thought I'd make a full year without a man cold but it is not to be!! Have a good one! See how I feel but a Leg loosener on the turbo is more likely Tom
  14. Stuck for time. Went round Netherton Rd, Kilmalcolm and back. Hills seems longer and steeper than last time. Probably inversely proportional to Christmas alcohol intake! Tom
