  1. http://www.justgiving.com/runtheway On 20th - 21st June I am running the West Highland Way as part of a relay team of 12, this being in aid of Cancer Research. There are also a few of us intending to cycle back the following day, having enjoyed a few beers in Fort William. I have attached the justgiving sponsorship website, should anyone feel that they wish to sponsor us. http://www.justgiving.com/runtheway Any & all donations will be gratefully received Richard
  2. http://www.sus8events.com/index.php http://www.cyclosport.org/article.aspx? ... entid=1084 Found this event listed on the cyclosport website. Looks to be quite "interesting " at 105 miles with over 2000m of climbing. Would be nice to see a few other JWCC jerseys out, or probably rain capes as its in July. Richard
  3. Jim Can only see the one image so far Richard
  4. If anyone is short of a partner for tonites TTT, I willing and available Richard
  5. Will be leaving from Erskine at about 8 on Sunday morning, if anyone requires a lift let me know, unfortunately will probably only manage one as not likely to be allowed large car. May also have to leave fairly sharp after, however if this suits anyone please let me know Richard
  6. Should be along for a number of the TTT's including first three or four. Will be along tommorow (Wed 2nd) so if anyone is looking for a partner let me know. If not will timekeep, marshall etc Richard
  7. Dennis I aim to be there this year, great day last year, trust you have booked the same weather again Richard

  9. Kenny I am the same as Colin, have ordered a size medium mitt, but can't make it along on Thurs evening. I am happy to send payment and pick up the mitts as and when, please let me know if this suits. Richard
  10. Got to say guys thoroughly enjoyed the outing, so thanks for making sure I went out. Easy to see who has been doing the serious training Fantastic run down the coast, all I could do to draft, think I got to the front in Selmorlie only so that I could slow the pace down for my own benefit Anyway thanks again for a great run, hope to see you all soon and more often of late. nb. to anyone else reading this, beware of Colin in the sprints Allan on the hills and Frank in general Richard
  11. Is the Red Smiddy roundabout ay 11:00 ok for everyone?
  12. Hey Frank Was thinking of down the coast to Largs and back over the brae, The reverse of the Don Smith run over the last 2 years, but I am quite open to suggestions if you have anything else in mid.
  13. Have just read the following discussion on the braveheart website http://braveheartfund.com/Community/top ... IC_ID=3636 obviously a very serious issue and not an area which i have fully explored As such I am seeking some advice on this subject. One of the posts states that 3rd party insurance can is obtained when you join a club, the CTC or become an unattached member of Scottish Cycling. I would appreciate it if someone could advise as to whether we as members of JWCC have 3rd party insurance and if so to what extent does it cover us, eg club runs only, individual training runs etc. Without wishing to start a discussion on the ins and outs of litigation I would be grateful for the comments and advice of others. Richard
  14. thats ideal, you just reminded me i've got the vets at 09.50 (with the dog, no jokes pls) so timing is perfect, need to be back home for 3pm to get kids from school. Can meet you at yours or Red Smiddy unless you have any other ideas. Anyone else?
  15. Hoping to venture out for a training run on Wednesday 13th, 4-5 hours, legs etc permitting. Anyone interested let me know, definately not looking to break any land speed records. Will be leaving from Erskine but absolutely no problem to plan route to suit.
  16. Kenny Can you put me down (numbers allowing) for a skip cap and mitts (size m) as per Chung if you let me know how much and when Richard
  17. Not a 100% sure that the Erskine Tri is on this year, what with the change of start for the Don Smith run and now the possibilty of this is it possible that Erskine is no longer the centre of the sporting universe!!! And more importantly will this mean a decrease in my council tax. I think the Erskine Tri may have moved to Bishopbriggs
  18. Well impressed by the dedication of you all. Haven't been out on bike since Braveheart run. Night shift tommorow 9Sunday) night, so if your cyling through Erskine can yopu all please peddle real quiet as I hope to still be asleep
  19. I'm entered for the Braveheart ride, hoping to make it out on Sunday for the bunch run as a bit of last minute preperation
  20. i should be along too, any ideas where we're going?
  21. Frank can you send me a copy of the form, also, did you type a "crowd in excess of 10,000" on purpose, or pehaps mistakingly add in a couple of extra 0's!!!! cheers Richard
  22. I quite fancy the idea of the 4th cat race to and share the exact same worries about severe embarrasment especially in front of wife and kids. Concerned as to whether kids can now "divorce" their father on the grounds thier bringing humiliation and aforementioned dishonour to them. Would however provide a catalyst for some much needed training.
  23. Worth a try for any would be Director Sportifs. The idea is to spend your 50 points and create an all concerring team for the tour. http://www.nrtoone.com/fantasy/cycling/ ... ?page=home
  24. the website is quite useful for logging all your rides, be it training, racing etc. and works out various bits of trivia on your performances. http://www.cyclogs.co.uk/home.aspx?Retu ... fault.aspx
  25. Kenny, I'm interested in a club jersey and shorts, both in large, can you advise if you have any spare available, if so I will arrange to collect and pay. Work commitments prevent me from coming along tommorow (as seems to have been the case over the last few weeks) Richard
