  1. That's fine, Ken. I was thinking the same too, it's been chucking it down here in Mearns for the past half hour. George, do you still want a run, if I don't hear from you in the next 20minutes, i' ll still meet you at the clubroom around 9.00am. Please post or my number is 0790 3356 730. Cheers ChunG
  2. Tony, Ken & anyone for that matter, The more the merrier! See you all tomorrow at 9.00 or slightly after. Cheers Chung
  3. I might be wrong, but could it be the mighty Johnstone Jets. Cheers Chung
  4. George, we don't have to go up the Haylie, we could always go down it to get to Largs. Could decide on the day, see you at the clubroom 9.00am! P.S. Do you know where the clubroom is? Cheers Chung
  5. Hi George, Just saw your post there. Firstly, welcome back to cycling and to the club. I intend to come out this Sunday too, if you want and if you don't mind, i can keep you company. I suggest we make a 9.00am start as well and tag along with the main bunch to as far as we can, then we can go the coast route to Largs for a coffee break (we may even bump into the main bunch) then maybe head up the Haylie and back to Johnstone all done at a manageable pace. Distance wise will probably be 50ish miles, but as a former cyclist, you'll know it depends on the pace not the distance. Tempted? Regards Chung
  6. I hope everyone got home alright, sorry that I had to bale out after coming back into Fenwick. 10 set off from the clubroom this morning with some new faces in the bunch, Stevie, Ken Mac, Colin, James Mac, Ritchie, new guys John M, Ronnie, Mark, John and myself. (sorry if I got folks name wrong) All working as a bunch heading towards the Moscow loop, at times it was challenging to get everyone riding in bunch formation, but at least we gave it a shot. Well done to everyone! Really enjoyed the run, good company and great weather. Bit of a head wind coming back up the A77 though. Hope to see you guys out again! P.S Where were you Al? Cheers Chung
  7. John, I can meet you at the top end of (Inchinnen industrial estate end) Georgetown Road around 9.10am and head towards the clubroom. I'll be in Johnstone wheeler colours and my mobile is 0790 3356 730. See you tomorrow, looks like the weather will be good. Cheers Chung
  8. Don't worry about the pace, we will work as a bunch when we ride. You will be suprise as to how easy it is to cycle in a group compare to on your own. Like Richie said, we all have to start somewhere, you won't be holding anyone back. Do you know where the clubroom is? Cheers Chung
  9. Thanks Jan for your suggestion. Looks like Moscow then. Are you ok with that John? If so, See you all Sunday! Cheers
  10. Hi Richie, Hasn't anyone told you not to follow my sense of directions. (I have known to get lost on more than a few occasion) How are you for time on Sunday? Fancy doing one of the reliability runs, say Moscow (which I think you have done before) or Sinclair street, this means a longer run and over the bridge which could include a cafe stop at Balloch, yeh! Both runs are fairly flat with only Sinclair street being the only upward drag. Can decide on the morning of the run, will go with the majority. Was going to maybe suggest Largs run, but Billy propose doing that next Sunday. Regards Chung
  11. Hello Chaps, I will be coming to join you for a wee spin. 9.30am at the clubroom it is! P.S Welcome to the club, John M. Cheers Chung
  12. Good Luck to everyone & enjoy! Cheers
  13. It's alright Greg, you'll just need to pay double! I wonder if Mulholland will be there!
  14. It will be interesting to see who turns up on Wednesday for this!
  15. Well done, Elaine! Will be good to see you out on the bike again. Regards
  16. Speedy recovery, Kay! Ian, by the sound of, it more like a full time job for you. Cheers
  17. Ian, about once a week just the night before I go out every Sunday. Com'on Ian, you know you want it! Kay, this is a serious issue here. When Richie asked for input from lady members, I think we were expecting constructive advise, not ridicule! Cheers
  18. It's great to see & hear that cycling brings out the feminine side in all of us. Personally, I only do it during the summer when wearing shorts. Wet & foam shave with Philips men electric shaver.......bit time consuming. Iain, I think someone is thinking about doing it!
  19. Did someone mention a Cafe stop, I can smell the bacon roll already. Come to think of it, I've no had one for ages thanks to all the "anti cafeist" Count me in for this one, might opt to meet at bridge instead of club room. P.S Richard, just out of interest where can we stop for coffee in your propose route? Drymen maybe? Cheers Chung
  20. Hello Mr. Whitehead, How have you been? Haven' t seen you in ages. Are you still riding your bike? Any chance seeing you out in the bunch in the near future? Will be good to see you out, mate! Cheers Chung
