Mark O
Looking for some guidance, advice or hand holding. My Garmin edge 810 seems to have a life of its own. It keeps shutting itself down mid ride. If I try to restart it I lose the data from earlier in the ride. Garmin advised a soft or full reset. I did this but the problem persists. Before I go back to Garmin for a replacement/refund has anyone else had this issue, did they resolve it and how. Admittedly I'm not the most tech savvy nor patient with gizmos. Any answers in short sentences please. M

Mark O
Did that also Billy. Can confirm I'm running the most recent software. Cheers for the comment. M
Committee Alan McLean Posted November 9, 2016 Committee Report Share Posted November 9, 2016 did you get this fixed? How old is it. My old Garmin had same problem when battery failed. If Garmin can't help then DIY battery replacement is possible and might be worth a 10 quid/whatever punt rather than binning it. You certainly don't want to lose ride data or else you will lose fitness, well known fact.
Mark O
Still in the process, Alan. The unit was bought new in July/Aug, still under warranty etc. Replacement or refund being sought. M

Richie Cross
^^ Yeah....I crushed my new garmin when I was putting my car back seats up. My fault but they sent me a brand new unit out pretty quickly
