Malaren is a giant lake not far from Stockholm. Race is in august i believe. total distance will be over 300 km in 1 day. A massive task but a challenge for the 3 of us. KennyS Posted December 19, 2005 Report Share Posted December 19, 2005 Best of luck in this Stevie A fantastic country to visit I've been around that area a few times (by car) and from what I remember the roads are in great condition and if you're not through forest then it's wide open landscape. A few up and down bits as well but nothing compared to the Bowfield No doubt you'll be riding down to the start via Newcastle and Gothenburg with your race wheels on your back and some Abba on the iPod Not sure if you are aware though that the Malaren is connected to the sea at Stockholm and when the tide comes in the route is more like 500km rather than the 300km advertised. Wasnt intending in posting this but why the hell not you never know somebody els might be interested. The plan is to ride a a 3 man team or any more if we can recruit them.
