2023 Subscriptions martin Posted October 23, 2003 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted October 23, 2003 To hang with the bird in hand, how about a different route this Sunday? A rolling wee (238km ) hurl between Limoges and Saint-Flour, through the magnificent region of the Volcans du Cantal? As you probably know, the 2004 tour de france route is published today. (http://www.cyclingnews.com/road/2004/tour04/) This means the 2004 Etape du Tour stage is announced, too. See http://www.letapedutour.com/2004/us/index.htm for more information and a route profile. So, who's up for it? Various people have suggested that they would be keen to go along, so let's see a show of hands. We can't register until January 29, 04, so that gives plenty of time to work out a winter programme and plenty of time for me to nip your head.
a.yeoman
Got my passport looked out aleady and the training starts this weekend when I will only drink French wine. I hope to tie this in with some kind of holiday with the kids but may end up leaving them behind. Anyone else?
Jim B
Martin, Only a complete madman would consider that this ride could even come close to being the least bit enjoyable! It is a route for goats, yaks, Sherpas and those who have inflicted serious head injuries on themselves while falling off their bike near Dunoon. You have my attention! I would be a "definate maybe" at the moment but I would need to know a bit more about plans for the whole trip. Jim B
