a.yeoman
Anyone else up for this.? Would be good if we could get a club table or tables this year. Last time the JWCC crew were spread over a few tables as there weren't enough of us. This is a great night out and I plan to be there again The Braveheart auction/dinner is scheduled to take place on Friday 21st October in Irvine. Following unprecedented demand for tickets last year the committee have decided to relocate the dinner to a larger venue whilst retaining the catering services of Alan Brown and the North Beach Hotel. Our special guest is already confirmed and a formal announcement will be made soon. However we can tell you this person is a winner of a Grand Tour and multiple classics. Furthermore our guest and other cycling personalities including Chris Hoy & Graeme O'bree will join us the following day for a charity ride in aid of the fund which will be organised by the Girvan 3 Day race organisation committee. We invite all to contact us with an indication of their intent to attend and a rough idea of numbers required. We have 25 tables of 10 and so far we are already seeing reservations reach the 160 mark. To ensure we reach everyone within the Scottish cycling community and supporters of the fund please pass the word around that tickets can now be reserved. It is also our intention to have buses running from various pick up points subject to numbers attending from specific areas. Additionally we are negotiating reduced rates for accommodation near the venue. Hope to see you at the event - The Braveheart Committee. Scott D
I'm interested in attending this event too. Does the club have enough interest to get a table, or should I book privately with Alan Miller? Scott
a.yeoman
Scott There doesn't seem to be much/any interest from the club - shame really. Probably best to contact Alan Miller / Braveheart yourself. cheers
