My mate calls me and tells me to follow the simple steps at the end of this posting on the ntlworld.home page and bing I now pay the same amount for a 1Mb connection. Seems that NTL are keeping this free upgrade quiet. I don;t don't what happens with the higher speeds but at least the upgrade to 1Mb works.
