Even more exciting than the countdown to Christmas, the 6 days of Ghent starts tomorrow!

Hello, beer !!Hello, beer !!

I know you must all be as excited as me, so thought I'd share some of the latest news from http://www.z6sdaagse.be/

Track racing is an arcane pursuit ( ;-) ) normally, but the Google translator makes it sound even more mysterious:

Four Belgians from November 22 to 27 will participate in the 71st edition of the Flanders-Ghent Z6sdaagse Lotto. Three of them are linked to perceived foreigners. The fourth is itself a bad experience.

The Ketele Kenny (26), a duo with Robert Bartko (35) and Tosh Van Der Sande (20) with Leif Lampater (28) coupled to an experienced German. Tim Mertens (25) does the six-day off on the side of the Dutch veteran Danny Stam (39) and Steven De Neef (40) runs with the Austrian German Andreas Müller (31). Cousin of the Tribe and is a special six-day, as they say goodbye to the Ghent public.

Strain is a former winner of the Lotto Z6sdaagse Flanders-Ghent. In 2004 he and Robert Slippens made for a party in the Dutch Kuipke. With Robert Bartko and Peter Schep are two former winners at the start. Both recorded their successes on the side of Iljo Keisse. Bartko / Keisse was the winning duo in 2007 and 2008 and last year won Keisse to Be a team mate. The Dutchman will form a couple years with his compatriot Wim Stroetinga.

Keisse won this year the zesdaagses Amsterdam and Grenoble, but will not ride in his own city. The Ghent quotes may be abroad, but in Belgium until January suspended after HCT / cathine affair in 2008. That does not mean it will not appear in the Keisse Kuipke. On Tuesday, November 22, the crowd favorite will give the starting signal for the 71st Lotto Z6sdaagse Flanders-Ghent.

Morgan Kneisky, Keisse's partner in Grenoble, was also present at the Ghent Six Days. As a participant, that is. The promising Frenchman will ride alongside the Dane Marc Hester. Franco Marvulli / Christian Grassmann, Jesper Morkov / Benjamin Edmuller, Claudio Imhof / Silvan Dillier, Alexander Aeschbach / Leon Van Bon, Luke Roberts / Glenn O'Shea, Robert Bengsch / Marcel Barth and Martin Blaha / Jiri Hochmann ensure that a total 13 couples at the start.

Oh, and PG is there:

Philippe Gilbert will be honored

The organizers keep it Philippe Gilbert to honor for his performance last season. The ceremony took place on Saturday, November 26.

First is the presentation of a book about the national champion. Then Philippe Gilbert in a chase car Kuipke against former Belgian champion and soon his former teammate Jurgen Roelandts.
