Can't make the Ayr Century run due to time constraints so wil be going out in the morning for 60 - 70 miles. Would plan an Ayrshire back road blast so probably not suitable for the carbon rims - potential route encompasses some of my favourite, though now less travelled, roads. Clubrooms (09:00 start), Bowfield, Balgray Bonds, Barmill Circuit to Dalgarvan mill, deepest, darkest roads to Ardrossan, along coast and up the Fairlie, quarry road to KilB, back roads to LochW, up Johns hill and drop down into Howwood and home - laps up and down the hill climb are optional!! Lumpy with a few genuine knee benders, occasionally rough and gravel strewn with plans for the pace being kept steady (no cafe stop planned). Anybody in?
