2023 Subscriptions P McDonald Posted March 26, 2010 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted March 26, 2010 See below for your info, posted on Braveheart earlier, Just a reminder Barrmill 54 mile APR, 10th April, details on thread. I've had lots of emails from those intending to ride so should be a welcome addition to calender. Come on down and see if you can add your name to the illustrious list of past winners. Can I ask the following to confirm please so we can make it happen. If anyone else can help on the day (injured, racing next day, can't be goosed etc) please speak up now so that perhaps one of the guys below has the option to race, Alex McAllister - can you do lead car? Grantus and Andy McKinlay - marshalling? 2 from couriers - marshalling? thanks, looking forward to it, PMcD

2023 Subscriptions P McDonald Posted April 10, 2010 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted April 10, 2010 Just for info, see below the post I just put on Braveheart site, Also whilst not mentioned as an official helper today - thanks also to Jim Daly, Result from todays race which was, of course, held in glorious sunshine, But first thanks to Ian, Barry and Euan from the kooriers, Kev H from Johnstone, Andy McKinlay from Dales? and Alex McAllister from Ayr Roads for making it possible and the wonderful lady in the hall who makes us tea and coffee. 54 miles - Barmill APR, 44 riders on the day 1 Paul Smith 2 John Sturgeon 3 Alan Quinn 4 Craig Gilmour 5 Kevin McNulty 6 Billy McMillan There were 4 groups, the first being only a few bodies and the middle two being about 18 each. Scratch of 6. Groups 1,2,3 were together at half distance and the scratch joined them with about 15 to go. John Sturgeon had rode alone for last couple of laps and was caught within the last kilometer by the eventual winner with the bunch close behind sprinting for 3rd. Thanks to all the riders who supported this 'extra' race. Doing it all again in 3 weeks time, same venue same time, Saturday 1st May. email as usual to book your place. Need I mention what the weather will be like? Paul McD
