Below is a copy of the update I received about this event. Looks like it's shaping up to be a smashing weekend

 

"Over 1500 riders have now entered for the Cyclone weekend. This is 42% increase on the same time last year and the event looks set to break last years figures. The 101ml ride is proving to be particularly attractive for the more experienced rider with 766 entered so far. This ride will be capped at 1000 so if you have not got your entry in yet you had better do so soon to avoid disappointment.

The 33 mile ride looks as though it is going to be particularly popular with families with many so far having entered. The revised route for the 33 mile ride this year goes past Bolam Lake Country Park and could be a nice stopping off point for these families with young riders.

Due to the generosity of the Technical Sponsors, Madison, there will be lots of attractive prizes up for grabs for those people and families that raise the most amount for charity in each of the rides. These Prizes include Garmin Edge Sat Nav's, Giro helmets and Blackburn Delphi cycle computers. There are also great prizes in the races.

It's all shaping up to be a great weekend so don't miss out on it."
