  1. Can try last weeks run again if conditions better. Can we say 9.30am at Clubrooms as now fairly dark first thing and allows any frost to thaw. Route can be Bowfield, Lugton , Dunlop or longer way up Rannoch Road, Uplawmoor.etc Please post if coming. Dave
  2. raining now and heavy rain forecast for 11am.Thinking of trying again next week.
  3. Weather permitting not been to the Dairy for a while. Thinking of going via Uplawmoor and back roads to Stewarton for a change. Can we still make it 9.15 am at clubrooms. Miller Street. Plaese post up if coming out. Dave

  6. Could be frosty first thing so can we make it a 9.15am start for a tour of the local villages. Clubrooms to Houston, West Glen Road to Kilmacolm ,Bridge of Weir Kilbarchan, Lochwinnoch via quiet roads. Please post up if coming oot. Dave

  8. Change of route today for me and Boyd. More of an urban route to start , along Paisley Road West, then Pollockshaws, MearnsCentre, then rural roads to Neilston, Dalek hill and back to Johnstone. soaked for last half hour, but thanks to Boyd for the route, and glad we went out. David
  9. Forecast could be wet for Sunday but if dry how about local run to villages. Houston, West Glen Road, Kilmacolm, Bridge of Weir, Lochwinnoch etc. Can we make it 9.15am at Clubrooms Miller St as getting darker first thing. Please post up. Dave.
  10. no Jann we were stopping to look at Andy's cassette..... Honest.
  11. Good run today. Boyd, Andy, Ken and myself. Ken left us at Lugton and we carried on to Stewarton and then farm roads to Montgreenan and then eventually made it to Tournament Cafe in the park for huge scones and cream. Returned via Blair Road and Kilburnie to cycle track and then made it home despite Andys rear cassette working loose and sounding like a ghost train. Drum up possibly next week, so will check thread if on. Dave
  12. 30 miler/Intermediate run. 9.00am clubrooms Miller St as still light early. Bowfield Hill, Lugton, Dunlop, Stewarton, Torranyard, Montgreenan and into Eglington Park for coffee stop at Tournament Café (monster scones). Can return via Blair Road or coastal/West Kilbride. Approx 45 miles with most of climbs on way out. Please post up if coming oot. Dave

If not too cold on Sunday ,how about 9am Clubrooms -Miller Street Bowfield hill, Rocky Road, Hessilhead, Barmill, Auchenmead, Auchentiber, Torranyard, Cunninghamhead to Kilmaurs and coffee stop at Rendezvous Café on Main Street. Return via Stewarton, Dunlop, Lugton. 30 miler/intermediate pace and regroup at hills etc Please post up if coming. Dave
  15. Myself, Elaine, Mia and Ken out this morning in what turned out to be a surprising dry day. Bit of a strong headwind out to Gleddoch and then Clune Brae but turning back was great. Stopped at Finestra Cafe in Kilmacolm for coffee and cake and then sort of split up on return with me and Elaine taking on Phils Folly to Lochwinnoch. Thanks for the company guy and girls . Dave
  16. Forecast is for a wet morning so probably be a call on /off on the day. Thinking of staying close to base around local villages. offering bale out options. Houston, Gleddoch, Celine brae, Kilmacolm, Lochwinnoch etc. Clubrooms 9am Miller Street. Dave
  17. 30 milers /Intermediates How about a run to the windfarm as a group. Clubrooms 9am. Howwood, Lugton,Dunlop,Stewarton,Fenwick, old A77 road cyclelane to cafe stop at Whitelees Visitor Centre A steady climb on the way up to the windfarm but a great descent to Newton Mearns and down through Barrhead on the way back. Distance is approx 45miles and suitable for newbies and oldies. Please post up if coming. Dave.
  18. Club hill climb Championship this week.See confined thread. Come along and take part or support. Usually a run afterwards to recover. Dave
  19. Planning to take part on Sunday with Carol supporting.
  20. Thanks to Graham for the route yesterday although still cleaning the mud off the bikes from the farm watch lanes. Good to see two newbies in Linda and Carol in a bunch of 8 and then 7 as Boyd left early. Also thanks to Chung for helping with the puncture to Carol ( Mrs C) on the track home. 45 miles in total. David
