  1. Sounds like a good one! Hope Alex is alright, and wish you a speedy recovery. Well done to all making it out today, hopefully get the full team out next week and deliver "Baird the bullet" to victory!
  2. Knee is still gubbed so unless there's a miracle between now and 8am I think I'll have to give it a miss. Gutted, was really looking forward to smashing it this week. Charlie, you can have my lead out duties!
  3. Dare I make a joke about faces for radio?
  4. Sorry, knee isn't quite right yet, maybe next week.

    Turbo Tuesday

Unfortunately going to have to give this week a miss Billy, trying to let my Knee recover. Save a hard one for next week!
  6. A man with a plan! I love it! I'm excited already.
  7. Knee hasn't reacted well to yesterday, going to have to give it a miss, sorry.
  8. Haha! Now now Charlie! What is it they say? Form is temporary, class is permanent!
  9. Haha, me too, and will the bike be getting cleaned before tomorrow.... seems pointless!
  10. Revenge is sweet! I knew Charlie was a one hit wonder! After having mudguard problems of my own it was great to see the Joansin waiting up and working together and catch the main bunch with ease - big turn out helped, think there were 9 of us - thanks guys. I think everyone made it up the Kilwinning drag only for all hell to break loose on the habble into Barrhead with attacks coming thick and fast. Iain Ulrich made a break before we even got to Neilston I think! Eventually came together for the sprint with Alan in the mix and Alex taking third again - a great effort. With four of us there till the end and honorary wheeler Lewis in there as well. Gubbed afterwards and thanks to Alex and Lewis for the wheel home. Great day out (weather included) - bring on next week!
  11. I'm out, knee is fine(ish) will see how it goes, can't let Charlie do the double!
  12. I've got a bit of a dodgey knee at the moment but hopeful it will have cleared up by Saturday. Looking forward to a shot at redemption!
  13. Enjoyable morning, excellent turnout apart from group 3! Where was Iain Ulrich when we needed him along the west ferry into a block headwind! In some serious pain now! Unfortunately glasses lost to the winhill descent (unless anybody picked them up?) - must have come out my jersey when I aero-tucked. Rubbing salt into the wounds was the headwind ascent which was viscous!
  14. I'll be out. Is anyone out at 9:45? Surely if I can make it so can you alex
  15. I take back what I said about you not being able to climb, you are obviously a fantastic all round cyclist! Well done!
  16. Yeah well done to all those who made it out today. Too much turbo and 4 weeks off the road led to an early demise just about burnhouse I think, it was a bit of a blur. Was faced with the dilemma of sitting at the back and battling the crosswinds, or working up the line an trying to take a turn at the front. I chose the latter and only made it half way! Decided I'd keep going and do the full route as I clearly need the miles but bagged that idea and turned off at Caldwell where I caught Alan and one other just before the reservoir and trundled home slowly with my tail between my legs with the knowledge that Charlie had taken me apart! How did the Barrhead sprint go? Did anyone make it? Good to see you made it home Alan, didn't look too healthy when we left you!
  17. Charlie, Rough edges maybe, but at least I can climb!
  18. Yeah, will hopefully make it past BoW this week!
  19. I'm an outside possibility, depends if my golf lesson is snowed off & if I'm alive after Saturday - would be late starter.
  20. There's plenty of room for a vice-captain!
  21. Is it a 6:45 start or 7?
  22. Club bucket for me too please!
  23. Yeah, turbo for me please.
