  1. Hi Tony

I've been venturing out more along unknown roads and thought the garmin 800 might be good if I get lost. I set the breadcrumb route up via the garmin site the other day and I did follow it ok, I've never tried the GPX file way either. I'll plan Sundays route to Gourock in and see how I get on, my mums looking for something to buy for my upcoming 40th!

  2. I'll be at Miller St for the run down to Gourock, but I can't afford the time for the trip to Dunoon as I'm off to Ireland on Monday. I'll probably carry on down the coast to West Kilbride or maybe Kilwinning or Troon to get some miles in ahead of the Tour of Sligo the following Sunday.

    Hi Boyd

I'll be in for the run to Gourock but not onto Dunoon, I can only be away till early afternoon this time but fancy a run down the coast.

  3. Hello all

I already have the garmin 500 but I'm thinking of getting the 800 or the 810. Does anyone use either of them? Worth the upgrade?

Can you change a preplanned route when out or if you take a wrong turn will it automatically put you back on track?

Hoping I can sell the 500 easy enough...

    thanks

    Kenny

  5. I'll be getting road shoes soon icon_rolling_smile I'll take a visit into Thompsons and see what is there. How do I go about becoming a member of the club? I've been out on one run and will try and get out again this weekend. I've been overdoing it a little to try and complete the strava Specialized Spring Classics Challenge but getting there!

  6. Hello I can't make a run on Sunday but would like to try a 50 mile run on Saturday. Could anyone recommend a course that is fairly flat? (my first 50 miles run) I need to set off early around the 8am (Inchinnan) mark as I've got other commitments later in the day but could meet anyone on the way.

At the moment I've got a run to largs plotted but there's a mother of a hill at the end! lol Inchinnan,Johnstone,Lochwinnoch,Kilbirnie, camphill reservoir,A760, Largs and back :-)

  7. Hi I'd like to join a run tomorrow to see what's it's like. I live in Inchinnan, any idea how long it'll take to cycle out to miller street? I've never been out on a club run so I'm a total newbie. I can do 30+ the most I've done on my own is 35ish but I was comfortable doing that.

    Cheers

    Kenny

  8. Thanks for the reply. I went from Inchinnan, bishopton, langbank,Greenock and back via Kilmalcolm, bridge of weir. Totals 35 ish mile so quite pleased. I waited till the rain wet off, I'm a woose lol.

I can't make next Sunday as I'm on holiday but will try the following Weekend.

  9. Hello everyone

I know I've missed the morning run, just wondered if any beginners fancied a run in the afternoon? Hoping to do a 30 mile run...ps could anyone suggest one from inchinnan?

I'm hoping to get out more, do you do any runs on a Saturday morning?

Ps I'm new to road bikes, moved from a hybrid after 2yrs of daily commute of 8.5miles.

  10. Hello

I'm a regular commuter into Glasgow from Inchinnan daily on a specialised crosstail hybrid. Anyway today I bought a specialised secteur disc. I'm really keen to get out on a few runs with a group and found you guys. Do you all meet at a central location or can we meet en-route etc?
