  1. This could be a tricky one. Have a couple of ideas will hopefully check them out later today, unless someone beats me to it!
  2. Back to normal group ride format of sticky draft on (hopefully it works!) so noone gets droped - 50 minute ride starting at 6pm Remember to follow Johnstone Wheelers on the companion app if you want an invite Before the event is due to start make sure you have opened up the game and can see your avatar and bike - you can ride about on any course or just sit waiting. When it is 5 minutes to the start of the meetup a dialogue box will appear on the bottom left of the screen - select that and it will take you to the start of the group ride.
  3. 50 minute group ride starting at 6pm, no sticky draft. Not a race but a bit more than a group ride - go for a time up the KOM and sprint then regroup a bit. There will likely be splits in the bunch. Back to normal format on Friday Remember to follow Johnstone Wheelers on the companion app if you want an invite Before the event is due to start make sure you have opened up the game and can see your avatar and bike - you can ride about on any course or just sit waiting. 4. Yeah it was tougher than i was expecting - took a good 10 minutes to catch you and Mark once you had the gap! I'm not sure why it was off i didn't change anything but it did feel a little more fluid in the climb and sprint sections. I could make the Wednesday ride sticky draft off. Or have an additional ride on a Thursday which would normally be the chaingang night
  5. Maybe of more interest for the Jets or those of you with young kids! Or those like me who refuse to grow up A game of tig where the player who is "It" posts a picture of their bike in the local area. It is then over to others to find that location, cycle there and take a picture of their bike in the same spot. Whoever posts the photo first wins that round and then it is up to them to take a picture of their bike in a new mystery location. Both pictures are posted on this thread and next round starts. Rules: Keep within a reasonable distance of clubrooms - say about 10 km radius - so that would roughly have the boundaries around about Kilmacolm, Lochwinnoch, Barrhead and Erskine. Photo has to include your bike. Just naming the location or driving and taking a random photo is cheating! Photo has to have a bit of the surrounding area so no ultra closeups of the bike with no clue where it could be

  7. Well done - the hard way too with some hilly routes!

  9. Too big for me but sounds like a good deal! Will be good to see you back in the bunch when it starts back again

Route is London, meetup should finish about halfway up box hill the second time...a race then to the top should you want to partake.
  11. When i tried to send a message on the companion app it was saying server error so i think they were having problems - probably due to how busy it is. I think they've changed the algorithm slightly for the sticky draft - it used to be the case that those in front of the beacon were those working 'hardest' (what power they were doing in terms of what zone they are in rather than outright power) but it doesn't seem to be the case now.

Meetups have a new feature that means non meetup riders are hidden so that should help things.

Course is Innsbruck Lutscher which starts at the top of the mountain...unfortunately once we descend it will straight back up
  14. Sounds like a good challenge! At the weekend there are usually some long group rides - would be a good way to tick off some miles. ZHR Audax on a Saturday morning, that has several groups and KISS has a couple too.
  15. I think a few were using it on the Tuesday APR. Not tried it myself though so don't know how it works
  16. Unfortunately not - couple of weeks ago i googled how to do this and all i found was people requesting the option to hide the non group ride chat

I don't yet know what the active maps are so i've set it up with watopia for the time being
  18. Good one tonight...think Fiona said it best - was like watching Loose Women

  21. Only reason to sit up for a finish is if you think you may get beat and want to make it look like it doesn't matter and that weren't trying anyway
  22. It's amongst the fastest bikes for flat and rolling roads - there are a few which are a little faster when paired with the zipp super 9 disc wheel but those bikes are then heavier so then don't climb as well. The fluuro / tron one is a good all rounder. There are several bikes and wheel combinations which are lighter and faster if doing a sustained climb. Very nerdy and there is a website that has tested all this out! https://zwiftinsider.com/fastest-setup-30/

  24. It's not a big deal if you dont return them. Although you can gain drops / points if you receive or give so many Ride ons (the drops can then be used to 'buy' new frames or wheels in the virtual shop) I generally don't eat on the turbo, however for a longer session i have been known to get off my bike during a descent, let it virtually freewheel and head into the kitchen for something
