Good run today, great weather and great scenery (just a pity about the hills ) Thanks everyone for the company, the compact chainset made a huge difference so thanks to Bill for advising me to go for it to Boyd for organising and his new toy seemed to work pretty well, think we will have a few more farmers specials coming up Jody

Thanks for organising Boyd. Plan on being there tomo and happy to do whatever suits the majority. Jody

Just thought I'd give a wee post to say Ribble Cycles are offering the electronic Ultegra groupset for £899. Seems a pretty decent price compared elsewhere for anyone in the market for a change. Jody

The Italian Trip - Start List

Enjoy the trip gents I'm sure it'll be a blast. Jody -
Sorry I thought last night that Endura had made a mistake with the colours and that they may be changed. I see that it clearly states what the colour would be before hand(never saw the catalogue or website). I am more than happy to take these and have paid already. If someone can say when they will be at club rooms to allow for collection. Will any further orders be going in for standard bin shorts for the summer as I would prob buy a pair as well Thanks Jody

I have paid for my kit via PayPal this evening, hopefully pop down to club rooms tomo night to pick it up
-
Sorry meant to post earlier I'm nightshift this weekend so can't make it along Hopefully be out next weekend though Jody
-
Does anyone have the PayPal details. A few of us have been trying to find it to pay our dues with no response. If someone can post up or drop me a pm with the PayPal address I can forward it to the others who are looking to pay. Thanks Jody

Hey Paul, I like that positive attitude you are sporting. The 12th would suit me better as I have a wedding on the 4th and I'm backshift on the Sunday but obviously go for what suits everyone. Jody
-
Tom, I like that suggestion and if that's the case then shifts permitting I plan to be there. Sounds like a nice route so looking forward to it. Jody
-
Thanks Billy, If someone can post an average mph then that'll help make my mind up. Don't mind getting dropped in Renfrewshire for a lonely trudge home but roads I have no idea is totally different. Jody
-
What's the pace of this. I would really like to go but if it's main bunch pace I've no chance. Jody
-
Would def like to see the road race, it's the good lady's birthday the day before so will need to try and save up some real brownie points, keep me in the loop with any developments. Jody

Thanks Mark I'm pretty pleased to have completed the full thing, last couple of miles in the morning I wasn't for doing the afternoon run but Richie convinced me otherwise. Well chuffed with the whole day but struggled to turn the pedals on the last drag up the Mennock pass All done and having a couple of Peroni's to celebrate. Jody
-
Sorry not making it tomo, struggling to move at the min after Drumlanrig so having a well earned day of rest.......... if i don't have to go in to work right enough Jody
-
I'll echo those words of a great day out......... big thanks to Mr Cross for dragging me around the full 102 miles . I must admit it was a tad hilly for my fitness levels and its certainly the last time i'll be riding it with 39-25 set up, the climb to Wanlockhead just about killed me. First ton done , now for another....... Jody

Can't make this again as I'm backshift. Not fair Jody

FS: Garmin ant + heart rate strap and cadence sensor
Jodyc replied to Jodyc's topic in Wheels'n'Deals - For Sale & Wanted
Jann, My understanding is that the garmins all use ant + accessories and that is what these are. Jody -
Hello folks, I have a Garmin Ant + heart rate strap and cadence sensor for sale. I Bought a new edge 500 and got these with it and I already had both from my forerunner 405 which I sold last week. Both are brand new never been used, think the heart rate strap retails around £35 quid and the cadence sensor £35-40. If anyone is interested I'm looking for £25 each or both for £45. I'll give it a few days then list them on eBay. Thanks Jody
-
Hope to be there for 0915, happy to follow the majority. Jody

Not able to make this one as I'm backshift on Thursday. Really good idea and hope to make the next if it's a success. Still not sure of the Renfrewshire roads to post any routes but if I find some I'll let everyone know. Jody

Hello everyone, Really enjoyed today and was good to get out. Just short of 67 miles when I got home and my legs are pretty tired with some of those hills. Thanks again for everyone that turned out and hope to see you all again soon. Ps Chung think I'll take your advice and have the garmin watch on eBay tonight with the edge 500 purchased soon. Jody
