  1. Not going out....sorry
  2. I will hopefully make this. A rare outing for me, not been out with the 30 milers since last summer. Not been on the bike this year actually hope i can remember where i left it. Looks lie a good route see you then...
  3. Folks, due to a change in our personal circumstances we are looking to re-home our 3 year old male Jack Russell Terrier. He is not for sale, just for re-homing. His name is Cookie and is a great wee character, very loyal and active, loves lots of attention and play time. He is probably not great with kids although he is fine with our 9 year old daughter so maybe its just a case of getting to know you. He will settle in best with an experienced dog owner where he is the only dog. He is neutered, house trained, micro-chipped and up to date with all jags etc. he is registered with the Largs vet and is very well loved and looked after. He just needs someone who can spend time to look after him and take him long walks and play ball in the garden. You are more than welcome to come and see him without any obligation. i am not looking for any money i am just hoping he will go to a good home. If its of any interest, he is as handsome pure breed short haired dog, mother and father were both seen by myself and are also pure breed JRTs (if there is such a thing). In other words, he is not a cross breed. many thanks Harry
  4. This weight bench is in VGC as you can see. Had very little use. Its used for bench press, sit ups and dumbell curls and various other weight exercises. The bench is adjustable for different positions. The curling bar and various weights can be included FOC if you want them. The whole thing folds for easy storage. Pick up from Largs, £45.
  5. These are brand new with Tags. Lycra Lampre Winter longs/tights. The size on them is Medium but in fairness they are a size small, 30-32 in waist, or would suit a lady size 10. I bought these on last year, the top fitted the bottoms didnt hence the sale, RRP £30. They are made of Lycra, with a fleecy warm inside and full padding with zipped ankles and rubber grips. Good for those days when its just a wee bit too chilly for shorts. I can post them so no need to pick them up. £12 inc. postage. The pic below is the front view. Rear view and side view can be seen here http://www.flickr.com/photos/93334702@N04/ Cheers Harry
  6. These are used but are VGC, less than 100 miles, look like new. £5 for the pair. Steel beaded clinchers. Stuff is in Largs, PM me.. Pics are here, i have tried to adjust the brightness in the second pic to show the tread... http://www.flickr.com/photos/93334702@N04/with/8486399906/#photo_8486399906
  7. No probs Ramsay, will PM you. White pedals have also been sold. Thanks folks.
  8. Here is a pic of the used pedals. I also have a set of brand new cleats for these still sealed in thier packaging and will be included in the sale of the first pedals to be sold. These pedals also have a standard thread that fits both MTB and road bikes, in fact it was only ever used on my Bianchi road bike. cheers
  9. One set is brand new still in package, or at least one of the pedal is still in the package, the other i have removed just to have a look at but have never been installed or used. WHITE - £15 Other set is black and has been used but in good nick and clean - £8 (see post below for pic) M520 SPD, forged alloy body, chromoly axle, fully adjustable tension, sealed bearings. The new white ones come supplied with a plastic attachment that turns them into platform pedals although these just clip off but handy if you need to use normal shoes with the bike. Stuff is in Largs, PM me.
  10. about 5 years old, has had very little use and has been in the garage collecting dust. £45. pick up from Largs, PM me.
  11. Livestrong band (yellow) medium. Well used, a bit sweaty, could do with a wash. A classic piece of cycling memorabilia. Cost 99p when new but due to recent media coverage I am now looking for around £40 but am open to offers. Would consider swap for decent carbon road bars in good nic. 31.8 x 44. PM me. Harry
  12. probably not, everyone knew before the LA admission that the sport was rife with drugs. Mosts suspected LA anyway, this story is boring the crap out of me... i think more damage was done years ago by the like of festina et al. nowadays its like 'who cares'.
  13. i remember watching a documentary a few years back called the science of lance armstrong. It was about the science behind his training technicques, his diet, the bike and aerodynamics, his cycling style, his team tactics etc etc..it was fascinating how someone could turn the sport into a science and basically use that to win the TDF...but it turns out....
  14. I missed it but here it is, the first part in full. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43EE9I8ZMFc
  15. Oh yea, i remember Smeg Hob, didnt he come second in last years tour of flanders? icon_blue_laugh
  16. I enjoyed the last wee jaunt across the watter but unfortinatly cant make it this time as i am slumming in it Dubai (work) for the next 6 weeks...otheriwse would be there like a shot!
  17. what you need is loctite thread locker. Just fire it on the threads and when you torque up a bolt or whatever it locks and stops the bolt from backing off under vibration. sold in all good bike shops. costs about £3-5 per bottle so a cheap solution.
  18. Never made this myself, the weather was too good so went to Arran for a spot of camping instead.
  19. not feeling well, so have to give it a miss this week. dont wait up.
  20. Sounds great, catch youz at Miller Street, 9:00am.
  21. I am thinking of riding this route next week, not sure what day probably next wednesday 9th or thursday 10th Aug. Its 33km and have never done that actual route before, i think starting at Castle Semple Loch visitors centre. A bit of company would be cool. Anyone interested? As i said i might be flexible about which day... http://www.renfrewshire.gov.uk/ilwwcm/p ... rshiel.pdf cheers Harry
  22. I really enjoyed the run yesterday. Good bunch of folk and i clocked up 60ish miles. I know the rest did a lot more. Ejoyed the formation thingy, something new for me. Thanks everyone, hope to be out next week too! Harry
  23. Hi, this sounds good but since i am coming from Largs i might skip the car journey to Johnstone and meet you at the ferry. Plus, i will be right on time for the cafe stop... lemme know what ferry you'll be on. I will be there regardless of the weather... cheers Harry [edit] I plan to ride from largs to the ferry terminal and back just incase you though i was a big girls blouse and was taking the car...
