A lovely night - especially compared to last year! Well done once again.

Ran off with the money Ramsay - collected £32.00 for club funds, which I will give to you next week if that's ok.

  2. A very enjoyable run to Largs today with the intermediate group. Graham and I set out from the clubrooms accompanied, as far as Lochwinnoch, by Greig and Elaine who were recovering from Drumlanrig the day before! At Lochwinnoch we were joined by Len McD and Mark and, for a short while, Tony Carrigan. Four of us then headed via Kilbirnie and the Hayley Brae to Largs with a café stop at the BB - then back along the coast and up the Clune where Len and Mark headed for Lochwinnoch, Graham and I came back on the track to Kilmacolm and I headed home to Glasgow. Very windy on the way out (and wet in parts), with a nice fast (for me!) run back along the coast and into the wind again once up the Clune. Thanks to all for the company and to Graham for posting the route. p.s. Note to self: don't let that Mark one go the front for any length of time if you want to have a cat's chance of keeping up! ;)

  3. Nine out today (Bill, Chung, Martin, Boyd, Richie, Grahame, Ken Mac, AndrewD and me) and it was a really enjoyable ride.

Ice on the track (some unfortunately went down on route to the clubhouse!) resulted in a revision of the initial stage of the route so, instead, we went by road to Lochwinnoch via Howood then over the Golf Club Road to Kilbirnie and chanced a short spurt on the track to Glengarnock to pick up the route planned: Barmill circuit; Dunlop (via secret road!); cafe stop at farm tea rooms; back roads to Uplawmoor; Calder Braes; High Barr Road; Peesweep; Johnstone/home.

A relief (for me) leading a route from beginning to end with a hand written note - not a map, computer, smartphone in sight!

Thanks to all for the company

The weather forecast looks quite good for Sunday - any takers for a run?

The Renfrewshire/Ayrshire route that Kay and I did recently which was lovely on a sunny/cold day...

    Clubrooms

    Lochwinnoch

    Glengarnock

    Dunlop "medley"

    Coffeestop

    Back roads to Uplawmoor

Some hilly bits (will double check route before Sunday!)

    Back to Johnstone/Elderslie - about 55 miles.

Happy for other suggestions/addition to miles.
