    Hi There

I'm writing to let you know about the Kingscavil Hill Climb, the first event ever promoted by, first year club, West Lothian Clarion.

I would be really grateful if you could pass on the details to your members.

Kingskavil is a short but nasty 0.9 KM climb near to Linlithgow and the race takes place a week before the Scottish National Hill Climb championships so its a good chance to get in some last minute practice.

We're hoping for a great atmosphere on the day, we've even got a bag piper to rouse the spectators and and riders at the top of the climb!

Entries close 3rd October (the SC calendar has the date wrong) Start 9.00am

It only costs a fiver to enter, cheques should be made payable to "West Lothian Clarion"

    And should be sent to:

  7. I have received this mail regards the WOSCA Track champs at Meadowbank

Due to lack of entries this event was cancelled for Saturday 15th August, and has been re-scheduled for Saturday 19th of September, starting at 12 Noon.

The championship events which shall be restricted to WOSCA club members, are Sprint, pursuit and team sprint.

There shall be an omnium event, open to all riders. The composition of this shall be decided on the entries received, but the intention is to have a sprint, points race, devil, block handicap, and 10 K scratch.

It is intended to have an open distance race, to complete the events, which would be non championship, and not be part of the omnium.

It is intended to have a juvenile omnium, dependant on entries, and this is likely to be run on a handicap bases, to reflect the age and ability differences.

Entry fees for Juveniles is £5.00, for all others £10.00

Please send your entries by the 12th September to :-

  8. Hi All,

Despite previous post I am not going to be able to get to Uplawmoor in time for a 7pm start.

Looks like a good turnout - although from the last few posts I'm wondering if there will be some Chung-like routes,, given that everyone actually finds the satrt :-o
