Cheers,Dougie.
  2. Cheers,Dougie.
  3. To all attending the Trip to Arran .I have the rooms sorted for the 25th October. We are getting bed and breakfast and use of leisure facilities at Aychrannie Spa Resort for 35 pounds each on a 3 sharing a room basis 8) .I trust this suits everyone and if a deposit is required I will be in touch regarding this.It is now too late to back out and if you need to do so I would appreciate it if you could firstly find a replacement as the room price is a special deal my friend is giving us and do not wish to look like a bigger plonker than I already do!!! .Hope to see some of you tomorrow at hillclimb  Cheers,Dougie.
  4. No bother at all Darryl.Your names down.Thats us got six now so any more bodies please let me know asap before I make contact with accomodation.
  5. Ian. I see you defeated the Mighty Mac at the weekend so no danger in me getting involved in an end of season spat with you!! Seriously though,no bravado here, just some good mileage, good chat, maybe curry?,but definitely no fast stuff.Cheers,Dougie. 8)
  6. Scott it would be great if you could find out about the curry hotel so that we have back up if req'd.Cheers,Dougie.
  7. Yo guys.Im sorry to say but the accomodation in Arran is no longer available due to a member requesting the rooms so Im afraid that we will have to cancel. It is out of my control and I tried to get somewhere else but to no avail. Can I suggest we make it late October say the 25th?If I can get some feedback on interested parties then I can properly reserve the rooms in time, maybe even cheaper at that time.If this is the school week let me know.Dougie.
  8. Go for it mate get your order in early why dont you? 8) Anyway how do you know she's not an aeroplane blonde?!!!!
  9. Sorry for not making myself clear and listening to someone with last years calender,we will leave sat.4th of october(provisionally).
  10. I lost one too you know. Maybe Andy lifted mine and managed to loose it too,any answers Andy?!!! 8)
  11. Following a recent discussion with some of the members it was decided that we would have a wee end of season swaree to Arran in October. The preffered date is the 3rd and the plan would be to meet at Bird then ride early morning to Ardrossan for ferry. On arrival at Brodick we would dump our bags and ride around island then return to accomodation.Dinner at night and some refreshments :? then bed before rising an hour later for brekkie and another ride round island again before ferry and ride home .I have provisional option on rooms at Auchrannie country club through a friend at the cost of 105 for room for 3 including brekkie and use of facilities.I will need numbers before I can confirm rooms,or if anyone has other options which they can organise please let me know. Can interested parties post me a note to confirm interest. Thanks,Dougie.
  12. Tyler,so HAPPY you found the bikes.Do they still have the hole in the middle?!!!!
  13. Is it possible to be red carded at this game :? ?. Is headgear advisable or necessary ?. If yes to both then I'll be there too.
  14. Brian, you must read my mind. Also do you think enough is being done in schools to promote and encourage cycling to youngsters?,and would funding be provided for this type of thing?I suppose I should be asking these questions on the forum eh??
  15. Brian,I tried to log on to check out the site but with no success, some business site or another?Anyway I kinda agree with Kenny about the allocation of funding as I would be concerned that possible worthy recipients may be overlooked(a bit like lotto!).Otherwise a fine idea it's just promoting it to the public who seem so car or football orientated in this country that the idea of putting money into cycling may to some seem absurd .I will try again later to check it out but in the meantime I will think of some target areas to seek funding from and if I come up with any beauties I will let you know.
