mossy
Saturday October 4th, 43 miles or 72 miles sportives from Moffat. Organised by me and our team who put on the Drumlanrig Challenge. JW members who enter this month get a £10 discount ( so does anybody else ) website and enter online here. Both routes include the 20% climb of Talla Lynne, but you can still have the cakes if you get off and walk.
Alan Fox
Late entry made for Moffat Sportive. Looks like being the last of the season. Think that makes a micro bunch of 4 wheelers....
AllanM
Three Wheelers rode the 1st Moffat Sportive today Foxy, AndrewD and myself. Only 72 miles but about 40k feet of climbing, so plenty of time for Alan and Andy to enjoy the scenery while waiting for me...thanks chaps. Superb quiet route on possibly the smoothest road surfaces in Scotland. The Borders roads are really hard to beat. Hospitality on a par with Drumlanrig, which is no surprise as it's the same organisers. Definitely worth considering for those that like variety. AllanM
The route took in the Devil’s Beef Tub and the 20% climb from the Talla reservoir. We also passed the Eskdalemuir Buddhist temple, very colourful.

AllanM
Darryl, yes a huge exaggeration, but after two weeks of supersized meals in the USA and suffering from a cold the climbing was tough (for me)! Darryl Gunson
