Members Kenny MacDonald Posted October 7, 2003 Members Report Share Posted October 7, 2003 We have been given an invite to the Glasgow Couriers hillclimb on 2nd. November. This is being held at Uplawmoor and is followed by tea and cakes in Mure Hall. Jim Cusick has specially invited us to repay us for hospitality at our confined,s shown to him and the tri riders. I have accepted on our behalf , therefore the club rum will be to the hillclimb and Mure Hall followed by a run . The climb being used is on the Neilston side of Uplawmoor and goes up through the farms. We have used this climb on our Sunday runs as a shortcut over to Neilston , Dunlop road. Not as steep as our climb but longer. I will ride up the climb ( note not race) and hope others will do likewise in the spirit of friendship. Hope to see a good turnout to support this venture.
