Committee Alan McLean Posted May 3, 2013 Committee Report Share Posted May 3, 2013 This was the first night of a new format and provided cracking entertainment. Lots of Jets racing and, in particular lots of girls. There were also youth C races which are new to track league. The women and girl youth A/Bs usually struggle to get podium places or sprint points against the boys/seniors but this time they knew one of them would definitely win and it made for much better racing. Every sprint was a mad dash and the scratch races went down to the wire. The girls could hardly stand after the 32 lap points race. Katie McLean got a 1st in scratch and 3rd in Devil and Kate McLaren was 3rd in points. In the boys Lewis Mulholland got a 3rd in every race against mental competition which now equates to the senior B group. Some slight timing problems as the drome team sorted out the timetable but this was a great evening and I would strongly encourage all our accredited youth A,B and C riders to attend.
