It is one of the thorny varieties, so not ideal for a garden where you have a 3yo and a 6yo running about, hence the reason I am wanting rid of it. It's 2 years old and produced a reasonable amount of fruit last year. One careful owner, never raced or crashed PS I will throw in a blackcurrant bush as a bonus.
