KennyS Posted August 21, 2011 Report Share Posted August 21, 2011 Guys and Girls, I really must apologise for not thanking all of the helpers from the podium at the end today. Was so busy trying to fit everyone else in that I missed those who manned the gear checks, sign-on, marshall points, lap-counting, setting up, taking down and all the other tasks that are required to make such an event the success it was. As the Chief Commissaire, John MacMillan, said to me as he left 'There's not many clubs in the country who could put on such an event. The scale of such events is normally taken on by Professional Events Companies'. JWCC / Jets may take the plaudits but we were also assisted by spouses / girlfriends, the Dooleys RT, the Ivy, Wallacehill, Glasgow Couriers, Glasgow Riderz, Braveheart, Scottish Cycling and even a few 'Fifers' in Gabriella and MC Mark Young.
