Guest Jim Daly
Kev The snow is away from the roads and clear and calm conditions are expected. Metcheck and Metoffice both forecast sub-zero temperatures tomorrow morning. I plan to go ahead, starting from the clubrooms at 10am. Some may well use the rollers in the clubhouse, if concerned on the day. I've cycled recently in -5 deg C with no problems. A few weeks later fell twice on black ice when the the local air temperature was greater than +3 deg C. Proceed with caution, on main salted roads. Be careful, if there is any water coming off fields. Th near side of the last tight bend going down into Howwood is treacherous and closely resembles a frozen river bed for about 50m. See link for a few who plan a 9am start: http://www.johnstone-wheelers.co.uk/php ... php?t=4070 Jim
