KennyS
A small gruppetto of five left the club rooms at 9 this morning. Veteran Greg, newbie Claire, Malcolm, Sarah and KennyS With the recent rains it was decided to head along the Beith Road instead of the cycle track. Malcolm and Greg set a brisk pace into a headwind before turning at the Road End onto the back road to Beith. Some cyclo-cross techniques were adoped as a section of the road was broken up and swept away by the burn. On through Beith and across the r/about in the Dalry direction before turning left towards the ROF and the first puncture of the day courtesy of a rather sharp stone. The clouds were threatening as Malcolm repaired his rear tyre and the decision was made to turn left and head for Gateside and Greenacres Malcolm's luck failed again as his rear punctured again at the mill pool on the road to Greenacres. A quick change, over the drag and then the descent into Howwood before KennyS got the jump on Greg for the sprint A shortened run due to the threatening skies and early showers but a good one none the less. Sarah showing that the legs were still good after Manchester yesterday and Claire putting in a good debut ride See you all next week http://www.mapmyride.com/route/gb/renfr ... 7615362003 Cheers, KennyS
