CHEERS STEVIE .B. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cooke takes early win Cooke surged to victory in the last 100m Baden Cooke, the points classification winner in last year's Tour de France, won the Grand Prix d'Ouverture from Gardanne to Aubagne on Tuesday. The Australian overtook FDJeux.com team-mate "Fabien Sanchez", who had staged a solo breakaway, just before the finish of the 150km event. He won the race, which marks the start of the European cycling season in three hours 38 minutes and 30 seconds. Belgian Jo Plackaert was second with Italy's Fabio Baldato third.
