vicky begg
Tony Carrigan was back on the triathlon scene yesterday, coming in 10th male senior and 13th overall out of 83 competitors in the NOVICE category I was third lady, 18th overall out of a whopping field of 166 competitors in the SPRINT category. Alan McLean was a mysterious no-show. I'll be hoping he has a good excuse for not turning up.
Guest Jim Daly
Alan did have a good excuse for being a no-show: He was in Bridge of Weir buying gardening supplies and sipping coffee
Committee Alan McLean Posted May 6, 2008 Committee Report Share Posted May 6, 2008 Thanks for that Jim. Yes gardening has it's allure. Excellent work from Tony and Vicky. Tony is now officially a multi-sport dude. I thought I might be ok for the tri after Saturday's race but my bl**dy legs didn't work when I cycled to get the papers on Sunday morning. They LITERALLY FELL OFF. yes really, both of them. I've ordered new ti/carbon ones. No way I could race on Sunday. Saw some of you on West Ferry tonight. Hope you had a good TT. The bunch took 9 mins and 15 secs from Bishopton to Port Glasgow. easterly wind, yummy. Regards Alan
vicky begg
Mmmh, not so sure about the validity of that gardening centre excuse Mr McLean. Glad to see that someone was willing to grass on you though. The fine weather is making things grow all of a sudden though!
