Committee Alan McLean Posted January 2, 2008 Author Committee Report Share Posted January 2, 2008 Jim Next challenge could be Erskine Triathlon in mid-May. 750m swim, 20k bike and 5k run is pretty non-threatening. It's our local event, highly recommended and you'll know all the roads really well. NYD results/report: http://edinburghtri.org/index.php?optio ... 7&Itemid=1 Kerry Lang was first female and third overall at 1 hour 3 mins. Stunning. I was 21st and 7th male vet at 1 hour 10. Apologies for not having Alan and Shazy's time. Mild and rainy day. surface water made the bike run a bit sketchy on the steep downhills, almost came to a halt at the 180 degree roundabout turn. Ms. Lang reports wheelspin going uphill. Right, that's my exercise over for eight weeks. See you in spring.
Guest Jim Daly
Pencil me in for Erskine. Stunning performance by Kerry, as you said. Alan King 1:36:35 I'm sure Jonny Logan, Clyde ARC 1:10:07, is a recent JW Bunch regular.
Committee Alan McLean Posted January 3, 2008 Author Committee Report Share Posted January 3, 2008 Should have given a mention to Dave Stokes who now lives far away but is still a member and our top audax organiser. Dave came in at 1.45......on a trike....made of steel....weighing about 3 million tons. Hogmantastic!
Richard Binnie
Not a 100% sure that the Erskine Tri is on this year, what with the change of start for the Don Smith run and now the possibilty of this is it possible that Erskine is no longer the centre of the sporting universe!!! And more importantly will this mean a decrease in my council tax. I think the Erskine Tri may have moved to Bishopbriggs
Committee Alan McLean Posted January 18, 2008 Author Committee Report Share Posted January 18, 2008 Well spotted. The big Morrison's has taken over your wee shopping centre. Shame. Off to the briggs in May then. Alan
