Members Kenny MacDonald Posted December 19, 2003 Members Report Share Posted December 19, 2003 Notice from SCU website :_ SCU Board Appointments Posted: Thursday, December 18, 2003 (viewed 39 times) By this time you will know that the members of the SCU wholeheartedly passed the SGM proposal to become a Company limited by guarantee and that we are now know as Scottish Cyclists’ Union, a company limited by guarentee, and intend trading as Scottish Cycling This will safeguard every member from any litigious claim made against the Union. Also at the AGM the initial board was elected and after the first Board meeting on 17th December, these Board members were tasked to create, monitor and provide feedback to and from the Board for their own particular sub committee. The Board members and their responsibilities are listed below: Ian Sinclair President Jim Riach Executive Officer – Administration and Development Jim Gunn Volunteers, Officials & Coaches -including Coaching, Event Officials &Volunteers Alan King 8) Marketing & Communications -including Membership Benefits, Website, Corporate Image, Newsletters, Monthly E-mail Bulletin, Press Reports, Handbook, Post Board meeting Communiqués Who's going to be a busy boy then Hope you find some time to get out on the bike Alan David Menzies Corporate Services including Financial Management, Sponsorship Registration, Legal Contracts, HR, AGM, Constitutional matters &ICT Systems) Graeme McGinty Competitions including Road, Track, MTB, Cyclo-cross, BMX & Speedway Mike Pooley Performance including Squad Affairs Fiona Walker Development including Youth and Club Development The above Board members will be contacting some members who they think may be able to help with the tasks of the individual sub committees, but not all the skills of our membership are known to the Board, so if you have the appropriate skills or knowledge that would suit one of these sub committee groups please do not wait to be contacted, JUST VOLUNTEER to HELP.
