Does anyone fancy a night out with Barry Hoban and other illustrious cycling stars Transport available for anyone interested. Cost is £20 and includes a 4 course gourmet meal. Kat & George Derek McF , wee Dougie , Alison and myself are attending . Tickets are like hens teeth so first come first served. Replies asap Derek is leaving Johnstone at 6:30pm if you wish a lift. Members Kenny MacDonald Posted November 15, 2003 Author Members Report Share Posted November 15, 2003 The first ever Braveheart fundraising dinner was a great success, the club was represented by :- Dougie ( the raffle king ), Kat , George , Derek , Alison the mad bidder , and yours truly. Meal was excellent , drink was good ,and whole night was great. The auction was manic , and brilliant fun. The event raised over £3000 for development of cycling talent. We bid for and won Scott Sunderlands signed jersey, Ian Dooley bought Chris Hoys world championship signed jersey , and then gifted it to the club. 8) Make sure and thank him next time you are in the shop. Both jerseys are getting framed and will be on view in clubrooms very shortly.
