  2. dave told me he had trouble getting logged on to site so he will not be able to post so dave if you see this message give me a call to confirm you ok and I will post for you. One visit to A & E with you last september is enough. My no is 07967185362.

The run in to Kilbirnie was great despite nearly taking out Colin.

  3. Just back from taking me old boy on a nostalgic tour of ireland so having done no cycling for a week and having drunk too much Guinness the rear of the peleton will suit me Will be at clubrooms at 9am

  4. Not quite the caledonian etape but myself kevin Ken McDonald ( returning after a couple of years in the UAE ) and Jason Davis ( on his first outing with club) did the etape de moscow. weather pretty miserable but did not dampen our spirits. hope you guys further north had better weather

  5. Tom & Jannza

Intend to ride over to start from BOW . On basis of Jannza's post presume 7pm start. If no one else turns up we can find a few hills. If anyone else riding over I will be at last 0 leaving Johnstone for howwood at approx 6.15pm

  6. Will also start at clubhouse for 8.15 departure. What you have got to remember is that it will still be alot better than winter riding. A bit of rain will keep you cool and 1 less bottle to carry

  7. great night for cycling. unfortunately Colin got stuck in dunfermline so missed out. As per instructions myself Ian Mcg Billy Campbell and Clare headed off from houston 0 Ian had a knee problem so bid us farewell at Gleddoch. the rest of us headed along the gunpowder to port Glasgow. Having arrived at the Clune half way up the hill Campbell reminded us that Colin said we we were to start from the bottom so we duly went down went round the 0 and then back up to High greenock road. I think it was at that point that clare realised we were not the "Fast Bunch" Therafter a fairly brisk ride into Lochwinnoch then Howwood and then home. Billy took the 30mph honours and I made everyone else look good.

    ROLL ON NEXT WEEK

PS GOOD LUCK TO cAMPBELL IN THE ETAPE

  8. As ever another great route from Colin.

Colin, myself, Frank. Ian. Bill, and Billy set off from Houston religiously following Colin's route. having set a blistering pace on the initial hills Colin took unwell and set off for home just before South Newton ( Hope you are feeling better ) Bill decided to keep him company. Having lost our leader the rest of us remarkably managed to follow the rest of the route. Ian on the excuse that he lived in Bishopton left myself Frank and Billy to the delights of Netherton Road. Frank as ever showed the rest of us how it should be done. Bill at 67 is just inspirational. McGinty has clearly benefitted from his warm weather camp training in Portugal. Billy " Lance" Mac sneaked up at the end to pip Frank for the 30 at Houston. For the rest of the ride he used his lungs to remind us that he was now a sub 19 tt man.

    Looking forward to next Thursday
