  1. Well , actually it was only Eileen Roe, British Crit Champion who 'went down' at the 'eventful corner'. She failed miserably to negotiate the corner, totally lost control in the bend, hit the deck and broadsided Kayleigh and Miss Borthwick who were in contention, knocking them both off and robbing them both of a possible win / podium place. Desperate, absolutely desperate.

  2. For Sale.......

Zipp 404 track wheelset 28 spokes front and rear fitted with two quality tubs, Vittoria Pista CL and Conti Tempo. These wheels are the dimpled aero rim models. They are immaculate and have seen very little use. Only used for racing, no training hours. Selling as no longer required.

Nothing much more to add. Usual Zipp quality, treat yourself to some 'free speed' for £750.

Contact me at [email protected] if interested.

    Cheers

  3. For Sale... Miche Pistard WR Track wheels almost brand new having been used perhaps three or four times at indoor velodrome only. These are a highly regarded 'basic' wheelset and get great reviews from users. These retail at £140 plus.

  6. Noticed the earlier posts looking for winter steeds and decided that this was a good time to make more space in the garage.

For sale, Dave Hinde 7005 Alloy frame in 'Dooleys' metallic blue with white Dooleys decals. Groupset is a mixture of Suntour chainset 53/39, 175 cranks. Giant seatpost and selle italia saddle. Sora shifters and Tiagra rear/ front mechs, Shimano RX 100 brakes, Cinnelli handlebars. Wheels are not the best but probably fine for winter. Frame and fork have holes / eyelets for mudguards.

I used the bike as a summer ride for a while before upgrading whereupon it was resigned to the turbo.

Good nick for a winter bike suit riders 5'9 to 6'2" I am 6' 2 and found it a bit small but manageable. £250 PM me if interested.

    Cheers

  7. Hi David, Daughter has a pair of the track models with 30mm rims, 16 spoke front and I think 24 rear. I believe they are the same rims as the road wheels although the spokes may differ depending on what you ask for. I believe they can also be bought with a slightly deeper rim.

Kayleigh's have formula hubs which are not the most expensive but are well made and smooth.

She weighs 62 kilos and had no problems with flex. She says she finds them light, responsive and pleasant to ride.

Think they are still imported and distributed by Terry Dolan.

They certainly don't have the build quality of zipps or the like but then you do tend to get what you pay for with wheels.

    Hope this helps
