MARTIN.KEIR Posted March 26, 2005 Report Share Posted March 26, 2005 I was out with Aileen on her new tandem this morning, what a bike. It looks fantastic with huge fat tubes and is really stiff. It's a trek R2000. Brilliant. It handles like a dream. We had come from Stewarton and were heading up to Newton Mearns to drop down the Dams road into Barhead, it was nothing short of brilliant. It climbs well and is responsive. Pretty good for a Tandem. If you've never tried a Tandem, this is as easy as it gets. If you've riden a steel framed tandem the get a shot it's awsome, a real stonker of a ride. Haven't had so much fun since Alison tried on my leg warmers. It's even got a button she can press to put out wee pegs she can rest her feet on rather han peddling. She did that all the from stewarton to Newton Mearns. Well it felt like it. Seriously ask for a shot. She needs a partner for next week club run as Dennis is away.
