Members Kenny MacDonald Posted June 21, 2011 Members Report Share Posted June 21, 2011 Note on Brave Heart about a former active member of JWCC Fullarton Wheelers rider Bill Moore sadly passed away this morning in Ayr Hospice, after suffering from illness over the past few years. Bill will be well remembered by a lot of you when he rode the Vets Road Races, Tour De Gents and Tour of Mallorca, amongst others, over the years. Bill was well travelled through his work commitments and always managed to keep riding and racing no matter where. He had also been a member of Ayr Roads, Johnstone Wheelers and Paisley Road Club. Bill will be sadly missed by all club members. Funeral arrangements to follow. Our thoughts are with Moira and family. Bill was a very active member of the club in late 70s / early 80s along with son Boyd. He always helped out with races and used his building background to assist in clubrooms etc. He lived in Beith then moved deeper into Ayrshire but even when he joined Fullarton was a great supporter of the club. He was blighted with ill health which latterly meant he had to give up racing . He was a genuine enthuisastic cyclist who always took time to chat and discuss the club. He will be sadly missed.
